Design and build for a mega city at the centre of Arabia

Situated in the very heart of Doha, Qatar’s capital and economic powerhouse, this ambitious urban redevelopment project encompasses 600,000m2 and represents the royal family’s vision for their city. Marrying modern design with traditional Arabian architecture, the Msheireb will create sustainable urban living that reflects the city’s deep-rooted cultural heritage. The Phase 2 project involves the construction of 15 buildings between 2 and 19 storeys high which focuses predominantly on retail-oriented mixed-use activities including a 200 meter long retail galleria, residences, offices and hotel in the heart of Doha. The project also consists of five levels of basement, and a residential tower consisting of 59 apartments. SESC were providing a dual role on Phase 2 and both commissioning managers and MEP contractor. Our commissioning teams managed all commissioning activities across the site including civil defence co-ordination and approval and fire safety commissioning. Our installation teams were engaged on site for the Installation of Power and Control Cabling, Solar Systems, HVAC systems, Lighting + Lighting Control, and BMS. Throughout the project both our teams operated as an integrated unit and worked closely with the project consultant and PM to keep these activities on track.
