Building a new head office for a global giant

HSBC Tower accommodates innovation labs, a university, training studios and collaboration hubs. It also includes a gym, studio space for yoga classes, a reflection room, an outdoor terrace and a number of coffee shops and restaurants.

SESC’s role on the project was as commissioning consultants to help the MEP and specialist fit out teams work towards LEED Gold and ensure the buildings systems were handed over on time in order to make sure the new head quarters was a timely contributor to HSBC’s planned $17bn global investment strategy.

The building is one of the most technologically-advanced in the HSBC Group, the headquarters has secured a Gold Standard for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) from the Green Building Council, making it one of the world's most sustainable buildings.
