As your chosen Commissioning Agent SESC will ensure all standards are adhered to throughout the entirety of the project lifecycle. We ensure compliance with global standards such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, BSRIA, SMACNA, and CSA or mandatory LEED, Estidama and GSAS system requirements.


Our responsibility is to keep you up to date with all your projects engineering activities and ensure the teams on site are working to programme, delivering the expected levels of quality, and testing/approval are passed first time.

Overview of SESC ICA Service

The Independent Commissioning Agent will be the primary interface with the appointed employer representatives. He will be responsible for the overall commissioning management and reporting and will also interface with the engineering design professionals and construction supervision team in respect to the review of selected and related sampled contractor commissioning deliverables.


The CxA will be responsible for the preparation of the Commissioning Plan of which this ‘Initial’ document forms part and will review all documentation relating to commissioning and in collaboration as necessary with the EDP and CSC team.


Following the adoption production of this initial Commissioning Plan the CxA will follow up with the main contractor all necessary commissioning deliverables required for the implementation phase of the work.


The roles and responsibilities of the CxA is one of superintending and leading the commissioning works and manage the oversee the contractor’s appointed commissioning manager as individual(s) and/or firm(s) in terms of satisfying both the related client requirements and international specification requirements.
The CxA will be involved in reviewing the operation of the project building with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) staff, contractor, contractor appointed Cx Manager and occupants within 10 months after substantial completion. A plan for resolving outstanding commissioning-related issues will be included in coordination with the contractor and the appointed Contractor’s appointed commissioning manager.
