A new health facility for an ancient region

The total area consists of four major parts: the main building of 62,246 square meters; service block of 5,902 square meters; the fence wall, roads and plantations of 200,000 square meters. A total of 248 beds distributed as 40 beds for intensive care, 72 beds for heart patients, 73 beds for surgeries along with a VIP floor for 8 VIP patient rooms, 36 kids patient rooms and 19 general patients rooms. SESC were appointed as commissioning engineers for the project to test the MEP services and ensure compliance with the strict standards required of a medical facility. During the completion inspection, the Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital successfully passed the joint acceptance conducted by the Federal Ministry of Public Works (MOPW) and the Ministry of Health with the total acceptance rate of 95%, a far higher score than the normal pass rate for a medical facility.
